Kind of makes you wonder when Microsoft's own programs don't trust Microsoft's included add-ins, almost as if they've become self-aware of how insecure they are. Weirdly there seem to be 3 or 4 Microsoft certificates either with the same name or same expiry dates, but different serial numbers and thumbprints.

I've had to add several Microsoft certificates this way plus others for various adding, surprisingly (or not) some are from major vendors.

If you aren't getting the warning you might need to create a separate group policy or temporarily change the existing policy so that it does show the warning. Run a gpupdate on the clients and everything should be good. In group policy, import the certificates to "computer configuration > windows settings > security settings public key policies > trusted publishers". We created some more posts to help you using some of the most common statistical analysis that you can do using “Data Analysis” command. Are you you getting the security warning or already have the certificates? If so, I've had good luck with viewing the advanced details so that it shows the certificates. Now you are ready to do some statistical analysis for your data sets. There will be a new command “Data Analysis” on the Data Tab:

In the resulting dialog box click on the Analysis ToolPak then click on OK. At the bottom of the right-hand panel, in the drop-down menu select Excel Add-ins (if not already selected), and click on GO. To enable the Analysis ToolPak do the following: In the File Tab, select Options, then in the left-hand panel click on Add-ins.

The procedure is similar for Excel 2013 and later.įor the following example we are going to use Excel 2016. The Analysis ToolPak add-in is already installed with Excel but it will need to be enabled through the Excel Options menu. The add in takes the basic Excel functions and combines them into workflows where only the input values and output space is required. It produces output tables, and, in addition, some tools also generate charts. Excel’s Analysis ToolPak provides a variety of tools and functions which enable sophisticated data analysis to be preformed.
